"I went to Queen Nails for the first time yesterday because I was invited to go with friends. The wait wasn’t very long, but I don’t even mind waiting because I’m usually a walk in when I go and it’s expected. An older lady did my toes and she was so sweet and she took her time. I could not have asked for a better person and she is the only reason I wouldn’t leave 0 stars if it was an option. I’m not sure of his name but I’m assuming it’s the same gentleman from the rest of these comments that I wish I’d read before I went there. He listened to music through his headphones the entire time, but that doesn’t bother me. He jerked my hand any time he went to work on a different nail, despite my hand already being right there. Or if it wasn’t right there, I was literally in the process of giving him the hand he needed. Then of course they hold your finger and move it however they need to to make sure they have a good job but this man took it a step further and held my finger with his sharp fingernails instead of the pads of his fingers. He then proceeded to file my nail prior to putting the dip on. I keep my nails short, but they happened to be shorter than usual right now. He never asked if I wanted tips, but im going to give him the benefit of the doubt and say I could have spoken up. He proceeded to file my already short nail down to the nail bed, and then continued to keep going until he was quite literally just filing my nail bed. Then he got out the dip color and proceeded to put at least 4 or 5 layers on and the max I have ever had is maybe 3. It was thick and it covered my fingers. He then gets out the drill to go over the dip powder, taking the time to go over my skin as well. He continued to drill into my skin until skin started coming up and I started to bleed, but then didn’t even stop. Then he got out the pointier clippers to get my cuticles off, completely backward from any manicure I’ve ever had my entire life. He got my cuticles and that was fine. Then instead of taking some acetone to get the dip power off my skin, he proceeded to pull it off with those clippers. He was taking chunks of skin from my fingers and that’s when I had enough and asked him to stop. He jerked my hand back and continued to keep going. At this point, he had already removed his headphones so I know he heard me. At another point in the horrific process, I jumped and pulled my hand back from pain and he grabbed my finger and turned it so I could look at it and he said “You’re not bleeding” and continued. I tipped 20% because as someone who used to work in customer service, I always sympathize. But the fact that they allow him to continue to work there despite the fact that he hurts people is appalling. I will not ever go back there and I genuinely hope you read this comment before taking yourself there, especially if you have children."
