"I went to Mint for the first time to purchase a gift card for a friend that likes this salon. When I got back to my office I noticed there was a tax charged to the gift card. By CT State Law you are not allowed to tax a gift card. I called the shop and spoke to the woman and she said it was because I paid with a credit card. I said that should not matter and she did not tell me there was a credit card fee. I asked to refund the credit card and I'd come back and pay with cash. She did not know how to do it and kept saying she was busy and would have to ask her husband. She then hung up on me.I immediately called back and asked her how she was going to let me know what her husband says if she doesn't have any of my contact information? She kept saying she was busy and would have to ask him. I asked her to ask him right now and I could come to shop now. She had a side conversation with him, then came back and said what's your name and phone # and then hung up on me again. I have yet to hear back from them... To me it is about the principal, not the money - what they are doing is wrong and they are not trying to rectify the situation. I will not be returning again, that's for sure!"
