"BEWARE OF WAXING. I was new to the area and booked a Brazilian and upper leg apt after a good hair cut experience. I asked the stylist if they used hard wax and she said yes, (usually hard wax isn’t used for legs, just bikini/Brazilian) I booked the most expensive Brazilian and upper leg wax to find it was not hard wax but yellow wax. A week later I had an infected lesion “down there”. What I found out after this incident is if the skin is not held taute that the pulling can create a lesion. It ended up getting infected and was extremely painful. This led to a very embarrassing doctor visit to figure out what the issue was, antibiotics, and pain for about two weeks. A follow up appointment with my doctor confirmed the skin was “dead” and black. Since this experience, (the only bad experience I’ve had since I started waxing 5 years ago) led me to never wax again. I am sharing so this doesn’t happen to anyone else. I normally don’t write reviews."
