"I had a horrible experience at this salon. I had gone to Tobbie about 11 years ago and liked the highlights she put in my hair. Last weekend I went back to Tobbie and asked her for highlights again. It was a big mistake. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she said 'No Problem'. First, she used a cap (which has been fine in the past) however, she must have sliced a hole in the cap when she was pulling out the strands of hair. She put the bleach on my head and put me under an Extremely HOT dryer. After 20 mins I couldn't handle it anymore and called her over to look. She asked me to hold on because she was working on someone else's hair. Finally, she took the dryer off me head and I was almost in tears because my head was on fire. I tried to pull the plastic cap away from my hair to ease the pain but, it was too hot and I burned my fingers. I told Tobbie about 3 times that my head was on fire. After about 5 mins she finally brought me to the sink to rinse and wash then had me sit for about 10 mins so that she could finish someone else. My head was throbbing from her roughness so it was nice to get a small break. When she blew dry my hair something didn't feel right. She finished and I wrote her a check for $85. Once I got into my car I could feel the top of my head burning still and it felt very gummy and sticky. I went back in and Tobbie had to rewash my hair because some of the bleach was still in my hair on my scalp (the bleach had leaked through the cap). After I left her salon I was in tears, my head hurt, my hair was destroyed and large pieces were falling out. I ended up going to another hair salon and they told me that the bleach was on my hair way too long and it looked like the bleach was applied directly to my scalp because my scalp was already starting to blister. A large chunk of my hair fell out and I had to have about 3' cut off. I was sent to the beauty supply to pick up about $83 worth of hair treatments and scalp treatments. It has now been 5 days and my head is very sore, itchy, it is hard to brush since so much hair is still falling out and I still cannot style my hair. The hairdresser at the 2nd salon ended up calling Tobbie and letting her know that what she did to me was horrible and I shouldn't have to pay for it. Tobbie agreed but never apologized. I ended up putting a Stop-Payment on Tobbie's check which, cost me another $31.On top of it all I ended up getting almost a full head of very thin blonde hair, not highlights :-(. She was just trying to do too much at one time. Next time I will do it myself..."
